Presentation in CLIMATIZACIÓN´09 of the new “Ferroplast Mute” Sound absorbing evacuation system

  • From the 24th – 27th February, GPF was present at the 2009 International Air Conditioning, Heating, Ventilation and Refrigeration Exhibition, in which it celebrated 25 years since its creation.

    This Show, organised by the IFEMA with the support of an Organising Committee made up of the principal associations in the sector, is an important meeting point for professionals in this field, and where this year GPF was represented by one of the Group’s companies: Plásticos Ferro, S.L.

    True to its policy of continually improving and developing products with high added value, Plásticos Ferro took the opportunity of its presence in CLIMATIZACIÓN´09 to present its new range of sound absorbing pipes and fittings.

    Ferroplast Mute is a Homogenous Sound Absorbing Waste System, manufactured in high-density compact PVC, thus guaranteeing one single material throughout the entire system. The fact that it is manufactured in PVC means that it is a product with a long useful life, 100% recyclable, and that it consumes fewer non-renewable resources and energy during its manufacture than other alternative materials. PVC is also a non-toxic material, with a high level of sound absorbance, providing excellent value for money.

    With a broad range of diameters, which range from 32 to 250 mm, the Ferroplast Mute system provides a comprehensive solution with maximum safety and effectiveness. In addition, the range includes special components for performing any type of installation, and the system is also compatible with traditional B series evacuation, with fast, simple installation.

    Ferroplast Mute products, both pipes and fittings, are packaged to guarantee maximum product protection. In addition to complying with all the requirements established by the Technical Construction Code, the quality of Ferroplast Mute is endorsed by numerous certifications:

    • AENOR certificate, in compliance with the UNE-EN 1.329 Standard for the evacuation of wastewater at high and low temperatures within the structure of buildings.
    • AENOR Fire Resistance Certificate in compliance with the UNE-EN 13.501-1 Standard, obtaining the maximum fire-resistance classification for plastic materials, Euroclass B-s1, d0,
    • Acoustic behaviour guaranteed by the test conducted by the Fraunhofer Institute (Fraunhofer-Institut für Bauphysik) in accordance with EN 14.366 and DIN 4109, attaining optimal soundproofing levels.
